If I saw something in my viewfinder that looked familiar to me, I would do something to shake it up. – Garry Winogrand

All in 35mm and Black & White this month. Using both my Carl Zeiss Distagon T* 35/2,0 ZE and the Sigma 35 1.4 Art.  So far I think the Zeiss gives better image quality. The Sigma’s AF is sometimes a very good thing to have – so will use this lens a lot now to see if it is a keeper for me or if it ends up for sale.

Sad looking Tivoli in the rain. Almost no people visiting. f2,2  ISO 100, 1/320sec. Sigma 35 Art.

ulf-greger-Sigma-35-mm-1.4-Art--Canon-5D-2013-april-0008Bad panning attempt. Sigma 35 1.4 Art. I failed, not the lens 🙂

Still want an Carl Zeiss Makro Planar 100 – so should get rid of one of the 35’s. This is not a Sigma VS Carl Zeiss test. They are too different since the Zeiss Distagon 35 dont have autofocus and is f2 max and the Sigma is f1.4 wide open. ( Both are f16 minimum) So this is just a small comparison of the two lenses. I like 35mm on fullframe but dont want to own two of them. I had the Canon 35 L but sold it because the Carl Zeiss 35’s image quality outperformed it.

This little review about my Panasonic Lumix GF3 is starting here. Just installed Lightroom 3.6 that was included in the package. ACR detected the RAW files from the GF3 so things are running smoothly 🙂

Here is the first sample picture.  From RAW and converted to B&W in Lightroom.

I enjoy this camera a lot so far. It’s fast AF and bps, colors, sharpness and Iso 160-800 is great. ISO 1600 i kind of crap and I will only use it if I have to. Like if I see an UFO or something. So far so good. Also put on a Gordy Strap :

Going to write what I think about this camera/lens and post all pictures first month in this post.
