My street photograpy
From Uddevalla, Sweden. Fujifilm X100, a shot from my small Fuji X100 review.
One of my worst street photo’s. Ever. But also one I wanted to keep to remind me of what street photography is, for me.
This was all I got after 5 hours walking the streets with a new expensive Canon 70-200 IS 2.8 L lens i borrowed. Actually did take about 100 shots but all of of them was boring walls, flowers and boring cars etc. No people. So I deleted them all except this one. Did not have the guts to point that big shiny 70-200 at anyone. Street photography is not about the gear. Forget about the gear. Use a cheap old dslr with a cheap 50mm f1.8 or Ricoh GR, Fuji X100 and that type camera with fixed prime lens. For me streetphoto gear is about prime lenses, I use 28,35 or 50mm. High iso and fast shutter speed and just look for whatever i want to shoot.
Forget what other have done. Forget what others may think of your work. Talk to people. Have fun.
