  2. The Zeiss Makro-Planar VS Canon 100 L is a tough decision to make.

Personally I like and enjoy manual focusing. Gives more control and use that on Canon AF lenses lots of time to ensure perfect image quality.

It’s up to you to decide what you prefer – image quality is great on both. Zeiss is faster. f2 VS f2.8 and has better microcontrast and colors in my eyes anyway.

  3. What a cool lens this Zeiss makro planar 100mm is . Lots of character in the images at your site and flickr. Tt looks like it has tons of character wide open, and gets very very sharp stopped down a bit.

  4. The BIG question should be : Canon 100mm L or Zeiss 100 macro-planar ?

With canon you get autofocus and L quality glass. Cheaper.

  5. Thanks Hal. MF it is 🙂
Trying my best to improve my english.
    Best regards, Ulf

  6. Manual Focus is MF, not MA. M anual F ocus..get it ? That aside this zeiss lens looks promising.
